About the Author
Little is known about the Author except that she was an ardent devotee
of Sri Ramana Maharshi.Lack of formal education did not come in her
way in recording these stimulating discoussions.
Book Description
The Author Smt.Suri Nagamma had no formal education and after she
became a devotee felt an irresistable urge to record the discussions
taking place between Sri Ramana Maharshi and various devotees.She
did this in the shape of letters in Telugu,her mother tongue,addressed
to her brother staying elsewhere..These letters were originally
published in multi-volumes but in the year 1970 they were all combined
and brought into one single volume.
The translator Sri D.S.Sastri was an ardent devotee and encouraged
and actively supported by Sri Arthur Osborne he took up the rather
tough job of translating the letters into English.
These letters are of immense value to the reader to understand
the spiritual philosophy of Sri Ramana Maharshi.
